The ultimate survivalist houseplant. Nearly indestructible, air-purifying, and virtually no maintenance required.
Overwatering causes 99% of Snake Plant problems. Rhizomes (underground stems) store water, allowing months without watering. Water only when soil is completely dry or leaves feel soft.
Snake Plants propagate easily from rhizome division. Cut rhizomes into 1-inch pieces, plant in dry soil mix, and wait 4-6 weeks for new growth.
Soft, translucent base indicates root rot. Let soil dry completely or repot in fresh, dry soil. May be recoverable if caught early.
Normal for Snake Plants - they grow slowly. In low light, growth virtually stops but plant survives indefinitely.
Usually indicates low light. Move to brighter location to improve color and growth rate.
